Sify Technologies has launched its
fourth state-of-the-art data center at Airoli near Mumbai. This is company's
second data center in the city (the first was launched at Vashi in 2,000), and
has one each in Chennai and Bangalore.
The Airoli data center to cost $36
million (Rs.150 crore), will spread across 100,000 sq.ft and will be equipped
with Tier III compliant cooling & power systems and advanced building management
systems.
Built as per industry norms, the
center is housed in a newly constructed structure spread across multiple floors.
The building adheres to the IS 1893:1984 standard for earthquake resistant
structural design. The utility area and supporting rooms account for more than
100 per cent of the server farm area ensuring better operational & security
controls.
The Airoli center will be
followed centres in New Delhi and Bangalore, over the
next two years.
