Spain-based solar developer and operator Solarpack has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SJVN for its Ganeko hybrid wind-solar project located in Gujarat.
The project with a combined installed capacity of 482 MW, with 383 MW in solar and 99 MW wind capacity, is scheduled for commissioning in 2026. It would generate electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of over 2,50,000 Indian households.
Through the Ganeko hybrid project, the developer has reached a portfolio of one GW in India within the first half of 2024. It fits with its plan to develop five GW of multi-technology products in the country. With the commissioning of the Gorbea and Anboto projects in 2025, and now Ganeko, Solarpack has 1.3 GW of capacity in the country.
