Sona Sati Organics has completed expansion of molasses-based distillery capacity from 45 klpd to 75 klpd at Rajapatti Kothi village in Gopalganj district of Bihar.
The project will also include expansion of co-generation power unit from one MW to five MW and installation of 125 klpd grain-based distillery unit. The value of the project is Rs 125 crore.
In May 2016, the project was accorded terms of reference (ToR). However, the environment clearance (EC) was accorded in January 2019. In December 2018, work was commenced.
As per information collated by Projects Today, work on the molasses- based distillery was completed on 3 December 2019. The project work commencement for the grain-based distillery has not yet been decided.
