The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman, Animini Ravi Naidu, has announced that the state government has taken a significant step towards creating national-level sports infrastructure in Tirupati.
A 28-acre plot of land at Daminedu village has been allocated for the development of a state-of-the-art sports hub. The Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, approved the land allotment, which is seen as a milestone in making Tirupati a premier sports destination. Ravi Naidu, who had earlier submitted a proposal to the Chief Minister and raised the issue with several Cabinet Ministers, expressed confidence that Tirupati would soon become a key sports hub in South India.
The Cabinet formally approved the project on 28 November, 2025, setting the stage for the establishment of a sports village in the region, contributing to the development of Andhra Pradesh as a leading sporting centre.
