Supreme Infrastructure India has received the letter of intent from West Bengal Highway Development Corporation for Phase-I of the state highway project in West Bengal.
The company has emerged as the lowest bidder for the 22 km stretch between Dankuni to Chandannagar. The project work, worth Rs 315 crore, will involve four-laning a 22 km stretch on a turnkey basis. Supreme Infrastructure India has already started demobilisation work at the project site.
West Bengal Highway Development Corporation (WBHDC) had invited bids for four-laning a 42 km stretch connecting two national highways, NH2 and NH34. The project will be implemented in two phases - Dankuni to Chandannagar (Hooghly district) and Chandannagar to Barojaguli (Nadia district).
Meanwhile, the WBHDC is expected to invite bids for construction of Phase-II of the project in November this year.
The selected bidder has to construct seven over-bridges over railway lines, three major bridges, and 10 minor bridges on the 42 km stretch apart from developing and repairing roads.
