Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Gorakhpur to inspect various infrastructure projects, including the CM Grid Smart Road, which he praised for its high-quality construction and innovative integrated utility duct system.
The smart road, developed as part of the CM Grid scheme, will not only enhance urban infrastructure but also generate a steady Rs two crore annually for the Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation by renting out utility ducts to agencies laying pipelines. The CM highlighted the road’s stormwater management system, which would eliminate the need for repeated digging.
CM Yogi also reviewed the progress of key ongoing projects, such as the Gorakhpur-Pipraich four-lane road, which is set to be completed by August 2026, and the Khajanchi Chowk flyover. Additionally, he inspected the Jungle Kaudia-Jagdishpur ring road project, stressing the importance of maintaining quality while speeding up construction to meet deadlines.
