Suzlon Group and Yanara have extended their partnership with two new wind contracts, each for 153 MW, for Yanara’s firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects in Barmer, Rajasthan.
Suzlon will supply 102 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a 3 MW capacity each, further strengthening its leadership in Rajasthan’s wind energy market, where it holds a 44% share. This collaboration marks the second repeat order from Yanara within the same year. Suzlon, with over 2.3 GW of installed capacity in Rajasthan, has been a significant player in the state’s renewable energy sector, contributing to its growth as one of India’s key hubs. The power generated from these projects will partially meet Yanara’s power purchase obligations with utilities like NTPC and NHPC.
Yanara, which is building a portfolio of hybrid renewable projects, aims to drive India’s energy innovation and support the national goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil energy capacity by 2030. Yanara’s spokesperson highlighted, “We are advancing the next wave of India’s energy innovation with multi-technology clean energy solutions.”
