Suzlon Group, India’s leading wind energy solutions provider, has secured a 381 MW order from Zelestra India and its affiliates, marking Zelestra’s entry into the renewable sector with its first firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project.
The order involves supplying 127 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a rated capacity of 3 MW, to be deployed across Maharashtra (180 MW), Madhya Pradesh (180 MW), and Tamil Nadu (21 MW). The Maharashtra and MP installations are part of SJVN’s FDRE bid, while the Tamil Nadu project will cater to commercial & industrial (C&I) consumers. Suzlon’s S144 order book now stands at approx. 91 percent.
