Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation (SWECO), a US-based subsidiary of Suzlon Group, has bagged an order worth Rs 720 crore for supplying wind turbines.
The company has bagged this supply order from PowerWorks. SWECO has signed an agreement with PowerWorks to supply upto 98.7 MW of wind turbines.
According to the agreement, SWECO will supply upto 47 wind turbine generators and will supervise the operations, maintenance and service of the wind turbines for a period of two years.
The Group will supply upto 29 units of the S97 2.1 MW wind turbines and 17 units of the first S111 2.1 MW wind turbines for projects in California and Illinois, including the Panther Creek wind project.
