Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will set up a new facility in Visakhapatnam to house 10,000 professionals. This is expected to give a major boost to investment in Andhra Pradesh.
A decision in this regard was finalised during a discussion between Minister for IT, Communications & HRD, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh and management team of the Tata Group in Mumbai on 08 October, 2024 and subsequently announced on 09 October. The move aligns to the company's committment to offering a best-in-class investment climate to corporations.
Following HCL’s recent investment in the city, this new IT facility marks a key milestone in the development of Visakhapatnam as an IT and hi-tech hub in India.
Recently, the Lulu group, Brookfield, Oberoi and Suzlon Energy, among others, announced investment plans in the state.
