TP-Link India is set for a major expansion of its local manufacturing footprint, with an investment exceeding Rs 100 crore to build its largest factory in the country.
The network equipment maker, known for Wi-Fi routers and mesh devices, is in discussions with three state governments to finalise a site for the new facility as part of a broader five-year growth plan. The plant will initially serve the domestic market for about two years before exporting to West Asia, Africa, and Turkey. Currently, 92 percent of TP-Link’s products sold in India are produced locally via contract manufacturers, a figure the company aims to increase to 96–97 percent within three years, with the new factory enabling fully in-house production.
TP-Link expects its Indian operations to soon rival its US market, potentially becoming the largest within three to five years. The company is also expanding into AI-driven enterprise solutions, including automatic number plate recognition and people-counting systems, to capture steady double-digit growth in the enterprise segment.
