On 13 January, 2026, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin launched the Tamil Nadu Circular Economy Investment Policy, 2026, and the Tamil Nadu Warehousing Policy, 2026, aimed at fostering economic growth through sustainable practices.
The Circular Economy Policy offers a special package of incentives for recycling facilities and technology enablers, with capital subsidies, employment incentives, and skilling support for eligible units. Companies meeting criteria after July 1, 2024, can benefit from subsidies and employment reimbursements. The Warehousing Policy focuses on incentivising warehouse operators, developers, and market participants in Tamil Nadu, with benefits available for both greenfield and brownfield developments.
The policy encourages the use of green initiatives by offering a subsidy of up to Rs two crore and additional incentives for developments in specific districts. These initiatives are designed to strengthen Tamil Nadu's infrastructure, sustainability, and employment opportunities.
