On 28 October, 2025, Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) and Safran Aircraft Engines inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hyderabad for producing sophisticated rotating parts for LEAP engines.
This collaboration, a significant milestone in their strategic partnership, aims to enhance aerospace manufacturing capabilities in India. The facility, located at the Tata Centre of Excellence for Aero Engines, will produce complex parts for CFM International’s LEAP engines, known for their fuel efficiency, lower noise, and high utilisation. This marks the realisation of a long-term agreement signed in January 2024.
India, which is the third-largest operator of LEAP engines globally, has ordered over 2,000 LEAP engines, reinforcing the demand for advanced manufacturing and support capabilities in the country. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, senior officials from TAS and Safran, and other government dignitaries.
