Tata Docomo intends to expand its 3G network in more cities of Punjab and Haryana in FY15.
The proposed expansion will be done by adding additional cell sites taking the total to approximately 2,000. The network addition will enable customers to access services like video calling, mobile TV, video on demand etc.
The expansion will be carried out in more than 100 cities, towns and districts across Punjab and Haryana in places like Ferozpur, Mansa, Firozpur Cantonment, Rupnagar, Nabha, Nawashahar, Nangal, Ambala, Bahadurgarh, Bhiwani, Hissar, Kalka, Karnal, Kurukshetra etc.
At present, 55 cities in both the states are covered under the 3G network.
In addition to this, to facilitate its subscribers, the company is also expanding its retail outlets in Punjab and Haryana. Tata Docomo currently has 45,000 retailers in Punjab and Haryana and will increase it on the basis of need.
