Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GE HealthCare Technologies to set up a Cancer Research & Innovation Centre at TMC Mumbai. Under this partnership, GE Healthcare will serve as the technology partner, while TMC will act as the clinical oncology partner, focusing on advancing precision-driven, AI-enabled cancer care solutions.
This collaboration aims to address urgent gaps in early detection, equitable access, and preventive care. Dr. C.S. Pramesh, Director of Tata Memorial Hospital, stated, “With this partnership with GE HealthCare, we aim to enhance clinical research and promote academic engagement to transform personalised cancer care for improved outcomes.”
The centre will accelerate innovation in AI-based imaging, clinical workflows, and enterprise-level health informatics, supporting personalised cancer treatment. President and CEO, GE HealthCare South Asia, Chaitanya Sarawate noted, “With oncology as a focus, we will strengthen our commitment to deliver solutions that connect every step of cancer care, from discovery to treatment, integrating advanced imaging technologies and AI-led solutions.”
