Tata Motors (formerly Telco) has planned to
invest Rs.1,200 crore annually over the next five years. The investment would be
made to enhance the capacity of its Pune plant from the current 1.5 lakh units to around 2.25 lakh units per
year.
The company plans to increase the production
capacity of the revamped "Indica" and the new mid-sized sedan
"Indigo".
Tata Motors recently raised $400 million for its
capex plan, and has proposed to mop up another $100 million shortly.
