Tata Power is mulling to augment its wind and solar energy generation
capacity to 2,000 MW and 250 MW respectively by 2017, entailing an investment of over Rs
13,000 crore.
Currently, the company is scouting for suitable locations in Gujarat,
Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for the proposed projects.
The company has a cumulative wind capacity of 195 MW with projects in
Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka. It is constructing another 100 MW plant in
Gujarat.
