Technip Energies India has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) package for the lube modernization & bottom upgradation (LMBU) project of HPCL at its Mumbai Refinery.
Issued by Engineers India, the scope of work includes the construction of an integrated hydro-cracker and catalytic dewaxing (IHCD) unit and a solvent deasphalting (SDA) unit. The contract worth Rs 5,619.57 crore will be executed on a lump sum turnkey (LSTK) basis and involves project management, process engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, inspection, testing, transportation, storage, assembly, construction, and pre-commissioning.
Technip Energies will also oversee commissioning and performance guarantee testing in collaboration with the process licensor, Engineers India Ltd., and the owner’s representative. The project is set to be completed in 30 months, with 27 months allocated for mechanical completion and three months for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
