Techno Electric & Engineering Company (TEECL) has been awarded a contract to build Edge Data Centers (EDCs) by RailTel Corporation of India.

TEECL will design, build, finance, operate, and transfer EDCs as a business associate of RailTel covering 102 cities across India over a twenty-year concession period, extendable by five years.

With the establishment of EDCs, TEECL's data centre vertical will take major steps to enhance the digital experience and drive the widespread adoption of digital services in its commitment to building digital infrastructure in India. 

Assisting a range of applications, including digital skills, AI, AR, Internet of Things (IoT),  EDCs will offer major benefits to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and content delivery networks by reducing latency and enhancing speed, enabling more efficient content delivery, improved network performance, and offering high-quality, real-time services across the country.
