Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced that the state government, with Centre’s support, has launched road development projects worth over Rs 60,799 crore to transform Telangana’s infrastructure.
Major works include the eightlaning of the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway at Rs 10,400 crore, the Rs 36,000-crore Regional Ring Road (RRR), a 52-km elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam costing Rs 8,000 crore, and a greenfield highway linking Bharat Future City to Rajahmundry Port at Rs 20,000 crore. Additionally, Rs 11,000 crore will be allocated to upgrade rural, mandal, and district roads.
Minister Reddy said these projects aim to make Telangana a global investment hub, attract multinational companies, and generate employment for lakhs of youth. The RRR will connect all districts through a six-lane expressway jointly funded by the state and Centre, improving connectivity, safety, and economic growth.
