Visvesvaraya Jala Nigam (VJNL) has floated a tender for the construction of an earthen dam across Ghantalamallamma Kanive in Pathakote village, Pathapalya Hobli of Bagepalli taluk, Chikkaballapur district, Karnataka.
The contract, valued at Rs 141.56 crore, aims to enhance water storage, supply, and management for agricultural and rural needs in the region. The proposed dam is expected to provide sustainable irrigation facilities, recharge groundwater, and improve the overall water availability in a semi-arid belt. The initiative is aligned with the state government’s efforts to strengthen irrigation infrastructure and support farming communities.
The closing date for submission of bids is set for 15 September 2025.
