Thermax, the Indian energy and environment engineering company, has bagged export contracts worth USD 157million in Nigeria.
The company secured export contracts from an African company for supplying four utility boilers, eight heat recovery steam generators, and two flue gas steam generators for its upcoming refinery and petrochemicals project in Nigeria.
The project includes manufacturing, design, procurement, engineering, testing, and supervision of the commissioning of the equipment at the site.
The equipment comprises a 4,60,000 barrel ltr per day petroleum refinery and a 6,00,000 tpa polypropylene plant that the client is setting up in Lekki Free Trade Zone in Nigeria.
