The Tripura government is planning to upgrade the state’s lone hydroelectric project at Dambur in south Tripura.
The government has prepared an estimated Rs 100 crore project for upgradation of Dambur hydroelectric project.
The state government has sent the proposal to the centre for approval and release of funds.
The plan is to revive the power plant, commissioned in 1975 by streamlining water flows of the Raima and the Sarma rivers as per the recommendations of experts from NHPC.
