Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a review meeting in Sambhal on 16 November, 2025 to assess ongoing development and law-and-order improvements.
He outlined a phased approach for the district's development, focusing on restoring ancient pilgrimage sites and traditional wells in the first phase, followed by projects such as a museum and light-and-sound facilities. The second phase will also include the construction of a District Court, jail, and PAC unit. CM Adityanath instructed officials to accelerate land acquisition and progress on critical infrastructure, including roads and public amenities around key pilgrimage routes.
The restoration of the Mahishmati River and various government schemes, such as the Vandan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Vaishwik Nagarodaya Yojana, were also discussed, with directions for faster completion. The Chief Minister also emphasised the urgent construction of a CBG plant and swift implementation of the Namami Gange river restoration project.
