V O Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA), Tuticorin, has issued a tender for the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a six MW wind farm facility on EPC basis. 

The estimated value is Rs 60.92 crore, and the work includes comprehensive civil works and a power evacuation system to ensure grid connectivity in Tamil Nadu. The scope of the project encompasses the complete installation and commissioning, along with all necessary civil, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and communication systems. It also mandates the integration of a SCADA system for effective monitoring and control.

The selected contractor will also be responsible for the comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of the wind turbine facility for a period of 11 years, which includes a two-year guarantee period following successful installation and commissioning. The timeline set for the supply, installation, and commissioning phase is six months from the date of commencement of the work. 

The bid submission deadline is set for 08 May, 2025.
