Vaishali Biofuels is in the process of achieving financial closure to set up grain based distillery unit with a capacity of 75 KLPD at Donad Budurk village, Barshi Takli block in the Akola district of Maharashtra.
The proposed unit will take up over 9.83 acres of land parcel with an additional two MW co-generation power plant. The project will also generate direct and indirect employment for around 50 individuals.
The requirement for fresh water will be achieved through Dagadparva Dam, and the power requirement through an in-house co-generation power plant will be approx. 1.97 MW.
In early November 2022, Vaishali Biofuels received environmental clearance from the ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEF&CC).
According to the information available with Projects Today, the company expects to commence the project by February 2023, with completion scheduled for Q4/FY24.
