The DMRC on 14 July 2011 has started its services to Vaishali in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The 2.5-km Anand-Vihar-Vaishali metro line is now open for the commuters. The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) paid Rs 260 crore to DMRC for the Ghaziabad Metro section and spent an additional around Rs 40 crore for development of facilities and other infrastructure enroute Kaushambi and Vaishali stations. This route will benefit commuters from Indirapuram, Kaushambi, Vaishali, Vasundhara, Delta Colonies and Sahibabad.
