The J&K State Cable Car Corporation (SCCC) has failed multiple times to generate interest among construction companies to undertake the Verinag ropeway project. The project was supposed to be completed through Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode.
The project that was envisioned to provide cable car services to the visitors at South Kashmir’s famed tourist destination Verinag, so far has miserably failed to attract any bidder for the construction and operation purposes thus putting it into further doldrums.
The project cost was estimated at Rs 18.50 crore and the interested bidders were asked to deposit Rs 25 lakh as the bid money with the corporation.
