1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Welspun commences work on Baramati solar power plant

Welspun Energy (WEPL) has commenced work on setting up of a 50 MW solar power plant at Baramati, in Pune district of Maharashtra.


On 13 July 2014, Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, laid the foundation stone for the project coming up at Baramati.


The company is setting up the 50 MW project with Maharashtra State Power Generation Company on PPP basis.


WEPL will be setting up the 50 MW project in two phases. Phase-I will include setting up of 36 MW, which will come up on 74.74 ha of government land, while the balance 14 MW capacity will be installed after the balance 29.97 ha land is acquired for the project.


WEPL will invest about 60 per cent of the project cost and will be fully responsible for  part- finance, design, and commissioning of this grid interactive solar power plant.


Construction has begun on its 36 MW Punjab project site, and an MoU has been signed for an additional 151 MW capacity.


Apart from Maharashtra, the company is building large capacity solar projects in the states of Tamil Nadu and Punjab. WEPL is also aiming to develop 1.75 GW of renewable capacity in the next three years.
