Western Carriers India (WCIL), a Kolkata-based logistics firm, has been awarded a significant material handling contract worth Rs 139 crore by Vedanta. This contract involves handling the import, finished goods domestic, and export materials at Vedanta's Jharsuguda plant over a period of four years.
WCIL CEO, Kanishka Sethia, expressed confidence in the deal, stating, "The order strengthens our relationship with Vedanta. This order opens avenues for future projects within the mining and mineral sector." The contract marks a crucial milestone in WCIL's growth, as it broadens its involvement in the mining and mineral industry, potentially paving the way for further opportunities with Vedanta.
