Majhaulia Sugar Industries is setting up a molasses/grain-based distillery unit at Majhaulia village in Paschimi Champaran district of Bihar.
The upcoming unit spread over 10 acre of land will have a capacity of 45 klpd. The distillery unit also include two MW co-generation power unit.
The terms of reference (TOR) for the project was granted way back in 2016. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) accorded environment clearance for the project in 2017. A year later in May 2018, work on the project got commenced, as confirmed earlier with Projects Today.
When recently contacted by Projects Today, the promoter indicated that work on the project was underway. Further, the promoter has set January 2019 as project completion date.
Vardan Environet is Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) consultant. Praj Industries is the contractor in-charge for project execution.
