To enhance connectivity to the Noida International Airport, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has approved a Rs 1,700 crore project for a new 25-km road linking Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad to the eastern side of the airport.
The road will connect the 130-mtrs.-wide road at Sirsa in Greater Noida to the aviation hub via Yeida-developed areas including villages like Sirsa, Aleda, and Thora. Rs 1,400 crore is allocated for land acquisition and Rs 300 crore for construction. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will execute the project. This route will offer an alternative to the existing western access via the Yamuna Expressway, facilitating smoother travel from Ghaziabad and Greater Noida West.
Additionally, a three-km link road is being planned to connect Yeida and Greater Noida corridors. Once operational, the road will not only ease traffic congestion on the Yamuna Expressway but also support the upcoming airport's aviation and cargo hub by improving regional connectivity.
