The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has launched the process of hiring a consultant to prepare the Master Plan 2041 for Hathras Urban Centre (Phase 2), officials said.
“The project consists of transforming Hathras (district) into a modern industrial and residential hub, supporting largescale manufacturing, agro-processing, logistics, and micro, small & medium enterprises (MSMEs). The plan will guide population growth, employment, infrastructure development, land use, and environmental conservation up to the horizon year 2041,” said YEIDA CEO RK Singh.
The plan will cover 2,000–4,000 hectares across 66 villages in Sasni tehsil, with final area decisions during initial project stages. YEIDA has floated an RFP, with consultant bids due by October 6 and technical evaluation on October 8; the plan is expected to be completed within eight months, plus government approval time.
The Master Plan aims to address infrastructure gaps, promote sustainable urbanisation, attract investment, generate employment, and position Hathras as a satellite town of Agra and a key regional economic hub.
