The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to build its headquarters on a seven-acre plot in Sector-18, off the Yamuna Expressway. The six-storey building is likely to entail a cost of Rs 350 crore. The headquarters will be located 10 km from the Noida International Airport. Additionally, four zonal offices will be built at a cost of Rs 80 crore.
Sikka Associates and DK & Associates have jointly prepared the design of the main building and the zonal offices. One acre of land has been allocated in Sectors 17, 29, 22E, and 22D for zonal offices. Each zonal office will have the capacity to seat 100 to 125 employees. The headquarters is envisaged a sustainable green building, and will embody sustainability and green principles, integrating features like solar roofing, renewable energy sources, motion-sensing controls, while the proposed steel and glass structure will enhance safety and quality standards.
The ground floor will have two wings for public dealing and marketing sections, along with conference and meeting rooms. The second and third floors will house majority of the staff, while the fourth and fifth floors will be reserved for the offices of the YEIDA chairman. The construction is expected to begin by September and be completed within 12 to 18 months. However, the work on zonal offices will be taken up only in phase-2, after the main office building is completed.
The authority will soon issue a tender to select a construction agency, as it has completed the formalities related to design and tender.
