The government of Zimbabwe is set to construct a solar power plant after inking a deal with the UAE. While operating at full capacity, the power plant will generate 2,000 MW power.
The project will be implemented in phases. Phase-I is expected to produce 1,000 MW, roughly the same size as Kariba South Power Station’s output, when operating at full capacity.
Once Phase-I has been completed, another 1,000 MW plant will be constructed. The project will be completed in 18 months.
