Among these, 37 mega-value tenders (Rs 1,000 crore and above) collectively worth Rs 66,692.99 crore. One of the most remarkable tenders of Q1/FY26 was issued by the Maharashtra Housing & Area Devp. Authority (MHADA) for the redevelopment of Kamathipura Cluster Lane 1 To 15, in Mumbai. The aggregate value of the tenders was Rs 7,083 crore.In the Real Estate sector, 753 tenders worth Rs 20,352.27 crore were issued during Q1/FY26Another significant tender was issued by the Bihar State Road Devp. Corpn. (BSRDCL) for the extension of J P Ganga Path Project from Digha-Sherpur-Koilwar Road in Bihar on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). The aggregate value of the tenders was Rs 5,544.25 crore. BY OWNERSHIPState government bodies emerged as the leading players in taking forward the capex activities by issuing the majority of the project tenders during Q1/FY26. They accounted for 73.19 per cent of the tenders floated and nearly three-fourths of the overall tender value in Q1/FY26, issuing 16,943 tenders worth Rs 2,60,336.52 crore. On the other hand, Central government agencies played a smaller role this quarter, by issuing 6,841 project tenders worth Rs 94,656.91 crore.BY SECTORSAmong the major sectors, Services & Utilities (Infrastructure), Irrigation, and Electricity sectors remained frontrunners in tendering activities during the period. TheInfrastructuresector alone saw the issuance of 21,763 project tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 3,20,815.41 crore in the first quarter of FY26.Within this sector, Roadways, Water & Sewerage, Pipeline & Distribution, Other Community Services, and Railways remained frontrunners during the quarter.
