Post bifurcation, with the view to attracting investment, the Andhra Pradesh government is planning to set up a mega IT hub in the state, which will come up on 3,000 acre.
The state government is focusing on the hubs of Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Vijayawada-Guntur, Tirupati and Anantapur to set up this proposed centre. These hubs will be developed as the Silicon Corridor of the country.
Also, an Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurs (ICE) will be set up in the state, with the view to encourage start-ups in the state. Around Rs 100 crore fund is planned, in association with the Centre and public and private investors, to promote this start-up activity.
The ICE has itself set a target of incubating at least 500 start-ups by 2019.
Apart from this, the state government will soon announce its new industrial policy.
