Chinese firms from Sichuan Province in China will soon set up units in the industrial park near Dahej in Gujarat.
It is estimated that about 100 companies, including some 500 global fortune companies are expected to make investments in the industrial park.
The industrial park, coming up near Dahej, will set up about 100 units with investments ranging around Rs 5,000-10,000.
The land acquisition and other legal formalities for the industrial park will be done soon. Some of the sectors that are likely to come up at the park are renewable energy, infrastructure, power, heavy metals and pharmaceuticals.
The industrial park is likely to be operational by June 2014. Details like the number of companies setting up units in the industrial park, their investment and what they are going to produce will emerge clearly, once the park is rolled out.
