1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

MoD inks contracts worth Rs 2,580 cr for supply of Pinaka Regiments to Indian Army

The Acquisition Wing of Ministry of Defence (MoD) has inked contracts with Bharat Earth Movers (BEML), Tata Power Company (TPCL) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for supply of six Pinaka Regiments to the Regiment of Artillery of the Indian Army at an approximate cost of Rs 2,580 crore.
 
The move will further boost the Make in India initiative of the government of India in the Defence sector. 
 
The six Pinaka Regiments comprise 114 launchers with automated gun aiming and positioning system (AGAPS), and 45 command posts will be procured from TPCL and L&T, and 330 vehicles will be procured from BEML. 
 
The Pinaka Regiments will be operationalised along the northern and eastern borders of the country, further enhancing operation preparedness of the Armed Forces. The induction is planned to be completed by 2024.
 
The project under buy (Indian) categorisation, with 70 percent indigenous content, has been approved by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
 
The Pinaka Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) has been indigenously designed and developed by DRDO. The production is done bythe above-mentioned defence industries.
