Tata Ryerson, a 50:50 joint venture between Tata
Steel and Ryerson Tull of USA, will invest Rs.220 crore till 2010 to expand its
steel processing capacity to 2 million tpa from the existing 0.6 million tpa.
The plans include installation of a cold rolled
processing facility in Faridabad and Pune and addition of 15 marketing locations
by 2007. The company has also proposed to set up a new processing facility
either at Chennai or Bangalore.
The company recently set up a 60,000 tpa fully
automatic rebar facility at Faridabad to cater to the demand of the National
Capital Region.
