1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Mormugao Port re-invites tenders for cruise terminal project

Mormugao Port Trust has re-invited bids for its proposed cruise terminal cum container terminal at Baina, to be developed on BOT basis.

Requests for qualifications were first invited in August 2004. According to information available with ProjectsToday, three entities - Afcons Infrastructure, Gammon India and Adani Port - were even shortlisted for the project. The re-invitation of tenders has been warranted by a change in project scope, details of which are not available.

MPT is planning to set up a full-fledged facility for handling cruise vessels containerized cargo. The project, estimated to cost Rs.185 crore, involves construction of breakwater, capital dredging, bund and reclamation involving operation of cruise vessels and container vessels. MPT is amongst India's twelve major ports and has five berths to handle general cargo. During the first seven months of 2005-06, the port handled 14.39 million tonnes of cargo that was 10 per cent higher than last year and represented 6 per cent of India's total cargo handled in the period.
