Four consortia have been shortlisted
for qualified as potential technical consultants for the proposed mass rapid
transit system project in Hyderabad.
The consortia whose exact constitution
is not available will be from amongst the following entities:
- Span
Consultants
- Rites
- Systra (France)
- Ernst & Young
- Parsons Brinkerhoff (USA)
- Wilbur Smith
- CRISIL
- Pacific Consultant (Japan)
- CES
- Capital Fortunes
- Electro Watt
The final consultant will be selected
from the consortia in April 2006 itself. The consultant's scope of work would
include:
- Prepare blueprints, financial and
technical module for the project in a couple of months and it will be given
to the developer.
- Help the municipal administration
department right from preparing a blueprint and financial estimation to the
selection of build operator and transfer (BOT) developer who takes up the
project.
- Review detailed project reports of
various corridors like traffic studies and alignments prepared by the Delhi
Metro Rail Corporation.
- Help in preparing technical and
financial reports on behalf of the municipal administration department.
- Suggest how to make the project
viable and recommend concessions that can be given to the BoT developer.
