Hindustan Paper Corporation is planning to modernise and upgrade its existing mills with an investment of Rs.660 crore.
The company is also setting up a 3
lakh tpa paper mill with an investment of Rs.1,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh and is
in the process of revival of Nagaland Paper & Pulp's mill at Tuli in
Nagaland.
HPC has exceeded the combined
installed capacity of 3 lakh tpa for the fourth time in a row, in 2005-06.
Combined production in 2005-06 touched of 3.2 lakh tonnes. The company now has plans to
achieve a production target of 8 lakh tonnes and a sales turnover of about Rs.3,000
crore by 2010-11.
