Lifetime Healthcare, a chain of
pharmacies in Bangalore and Chennai plans to spend Rs.40 crore in the year 2006,
on increasing the number of its pharma stores from existing 30 outlets to 200
outlets.
The Mody family of Mumbai, who are the
promoters of J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd, has committed to providing
the Rs.40 crore required for expansion.
In 2005, Lifetime Healthcare was
promoted by Mr.M.C. Kini and Mr.A. Suryanarayanan and runs its pharma outlets
under the brand name, 'LifeKen'. Eventually, there will be 800 LifeKen stores
across the country within a period of three years.
