Kerala Chief Minister, VS Achuthanadan,
on 04 September 2008, inaugurated the third phase of expansion of Technopark at
Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
The SEZ, to be developed on PPP basis
and on 92 acre, will be undertaken under the support of Kerala State IT
Infrastructure, involving an investment of around Rs.3,500 crore.
PwC and Mahindra Consulting had been
roped in as master planners. The expansion work is expected to be completed in
2012 and will create 4 million sq.ft space and around 40,000 jobs.
