Starwood, the US-based hotel company, is expected to unveil its 'Four Points
by Sheraton' at Vashi near Mumbai in June 2009.
The hotel will have 150 rooms, along with a spa, tennis court, health club,
four meeting or function rooms, 900 sq mtrs of meeting space and a business
centre.
Starwood operates 20 properties in India under Le Meridien, Sheraton, Westin
and Luxury Collection brands. The company plans to open four properties through
December 2009. Its Four Points would be the first, followed by three Westin
brands. The first hotel would come up in Hyderabad followed by Pune and Mumbai.
The company is likely to launch another of its select-service brand Aloft, in
India with the first property coming up in Chennai by January 2010, followed by
Alofts in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Chandigarh.
