The GMR Group proposes to develop an 'aerotropolis' at the Hyderabad
international airport (Andhra Pradesh) which will house SEZs for entertainment,
education and hospitality among others.
The group is expected to create seven 'ports' which will form the
aerotropolis. GMR will set up aerospace, hospitality, health, medical,
logistics, convention, education and entertainment ports to make the airport a
world-class one.
A 500-bed hospital, an international school and a management school is also
likely to be set up in Phase I.
