The Phase I - 540 MW (2x270 MW) thermal power plant being set up by Corporate
Power, a SPV floated by the Abhijeet Group, is likely to commence power
generation by end-2011.
The company is setting up the plant in Chandawa block of Latehar district in
Jharkhand. Phase II of the project comprises two units of 270 MW each as well.
As per its agreement with the state government, the company is expected to
sell 25 percent of the power generated to Jharkhand.
