Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation proposes to set up
Tamil Nadu Aero Park at multiple locations in the state. The eco system for
aerospace industry will be developed in phases in Chennai (Meenambakkam),
Sriperumbudur, Hosur and Perambalur.
The Chennai park is likely to cater to design, engineering and manufacture of
components, and MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul), Hosur and Perambalur
will have an integrated park covering all aspects of the value chain right
design, engineering, manufacture and MRO.
The aircrafts' component manufacturing complex is being planned on 100 acre
near Sriperumbudhur, while the satellite MRO will be in 50 acre near Chennai
airport in Meenambakkam.
