The Himachal Pradesh Government is reportedly mulling to set up an
international airport in the state with the help of private investment.
As per sources, around 200 acre will be required to build the airport and the
state government is scouting for land in the hills of Shimla and Solan
districts. The project may entail a cost of Rs 2,000-Rs 3,000 crore. The state
government will have to provide the land along with road, water and electricity
at the location.
